The mind is a computer that needs booting before it can work properly. In computer parlance, booting means turning on the main switch, placing the DOS,placing the disk file, opening a document, setting up the margins and spaces, etc. Similarly the mind needs to be booted for a correct and good start in the morning. Below are six booting procedures for the mind that have been proven to pave way to success:
1.Switch on to the Source of Power. On walking, immediately gather your thoughts together, ascend them to God, and be on your knees (Psalms 121-9). Prayer is the
power line of communication between you and God. Thank God for another day, for opportunities ahead, for guidance and care that He will provide. The early morning hour before any care of the day, when the mind is still fresh and clear, is the best time also to read the word of God, the bible especially, and other literature that will bring you to a close communion with God. Be assured that you have a proper power supply from above.

2.Make your bed. From your knees beside the bed, your hands are still in touch with your bedding. Put the bed in order right away to avoid any loss of time. A well-arranged bed boots the mind for clear thought and plans for the day. This habit is likened to opening a new and clean page to start with for the day. A scattered brain begins with a clattered room, unfixed bed, the pillows, blankets, sheets, thrown on the floor. Have you met the cranky person in the morning? You will find that his bed has not been fixed. An orderly room makes one feel pleasant, attractive, enthusiastic, and vibrant. A person who has had his brain booted in this manner is ready to greet anybody a pleasant good morning.
3.Go to the bathroom and clean up. You may merely wash your face and brush your teeth or
take a bath.Empty your bowels and bladder on your first visit to the bathroom in the morning to avoid feelings of discomfort when you are travelling or when you are already at work. A clean and clear page of the mind to write on the day's activities is a must in the morning. Delete all unpleasant and unnecessary thoughts from your mind in order to leave a clean page to start the day's program.

4.Get Dressed. Never go out of your room improperly dressed either for family worship, for work or for breakfast. A properly groomed person is the object of respect, love and adoration. Imagine a person who goes to the sala in pajamas with uncombed hair, unwashed face, etc. It is embarassing for such person to meet anyone. Come out properly attired to meet anyone, to answer the telephone, to eat at the table, or to usher a child across the street to go to school. Imagine a mother who goes to the kitchen to prepare breakfast with unwashed face and uncombed hair, and in pajamas. The food she prepares may not taste good, at least psychologically.
5. Set Priorities. Make a list of all the things that have to be done for the day.M
ove the cursor of your mind along your list of priorities and accomplish them accordingly. Most of the unsuccesful people of the world are those who have no specific program for their life. To such person the day pass by without fruitful accomplishments. As the saying goes "A rolling stone gathers no moss."

6. Control KD. This is a command to save file in the data disk. From the time you wake up to the time you go to bed at night, much has been recorded by the computer mind. As you retire for the night, close the day on your knees again. Reflect on how God has given you power to live through the whole day experience. Count your blessings on by one and thank God for the experiences that enriched your life. Recall how God has saved you from the big and small accidents that could have claimed your life or could have rendered you invalid.Do not forget to thank him also for the disappointments, frustration, and difficulties that have taught you a lesson of trust and faith.
Try the booting system of the mind today and have more succesful days ahead.
