Make that TRUE TRANSITION!

This is a follow up on my older blog post "The truth about Making Over your Man". Let's be bleak. It's good to try and attempt to change our guy because people change but if he never follows then here are the tips you should take:

Have your own life. Don't let it come to a point that your life revolves around him-only! Even if you're in a relationship, you have to have time for yourself. Go to the salon, make over yourself instead. Go window shopping, to keep you updated with the latest trends. Try the new restaurant you see on the street. You can't afford to lose yourself. Learn to be happy alone. Don't lose hope sister and always think positive!

Cultivate your own values. Don't simply adjust to your partner's preferences. Know who you are and what you've always believed in. Know what you want, know how you feel. In other words, don't just agree to your partner even if you don't like his opinion on something. Don't be afraid to be heard. Fight for what you think is right. I do this a lot. Even if we end up arguing, it's not that I promote it but why not? He will learn to respect you and maybe follow you through. Show him your ways are desirable. Women always like to think we look after our beloved.

Let go. I'm not trying to tell you that this is easy but there's a bigger chance that your situation will change once you let go and start accepting the person and the situation. Admit to yourself that it is a bad relationship and you need to get out. Don't deny to yourself that you can hold on forever. It's good to be wasted for some time than taking a risk spending forever with somebody who doesn't deserve you. Accept he is not good enough. You are not blameworthy. Cheer up my friend. Like I said, there are good efffects of letting go. He might realize your worth and beg for a second chance or simply ignore you and forget you existed.

Be Fearless. Don't be scared that you won't find anyone else who will love you because God has reserved someone for you who is much more worth loving. Give yourself a chance to be happy and if it means letting go of something seemingly good. Make yourself lovable also for everyone. Go back to the things you love to do before you met him. Regain your focus. Try to avoid stuffs, places etc. that reminds you of your ex. Make yourself active and busy. When your ready, go out on dates again, open the door for a guy who comes knocking. Go Old-School. No, you dont have to throw your jacket over a puddle or anything but a little bit of chivalry can't hurt. "Everyone likes to be nurtured. That's why simple gestures like pulling out her chair, helping carry her things, or just opening the door for her will make her feel taken care of."

Make Her Feel Special. Compliments are always nice, but what's even better is showing your girlfriend that you only have eyes for her. "You want her to feel like she's number one". Put all of your about any dreams she has, maintain eye contact, and touch her hand while you're talking. You can even use a not-so-cheesy line line like "I think you're the hottest girl here". That should guarantee you some loving later.
